Finally! After 4 years of waiting!!

Ever since I got into goats, actually before when I was just drooling, I always had a thing for Wattles! For those who DONT know what wattles are, they are little flabs of skin on a goats neck, usually 2 and the same size. Well they have always been an obsession to me! I think they are almost cuter than the goat!

Anyway, I have had TONS of trouble finding them here, because even though people own goats with wattles, doesnt mean the goat and her babies are going to be nice. I was feeling hopeless....:(

Then this march, I was looking on my goat group emails, theres not much that I respond too, but it was the friday market and everyone was advertising goats for sale everywhere! Its fun to see how other people market and talk about whos for sale, also gives me a chance to drool and wish I was rich so I could buy each nice goat LOL

Well, There was 1 email I saw that for some reason I felt I needed to read, weird since I barely read them, well when I clicked on it, it was a farm in Ohio so I thought why even bother? Then I saw 1 pic and....WATTLES! So I read on and sure enough this breeder had a wattle buck and had alot of his kids for sale who indeed had wattles! Oh and this buck wasnt just ANY BUCK, He was a Buttin Heads goat! The breeder of Buttin Heads was a GREAT breeder and unfortunately passed away so these lines were important to have! Not only was this boy amazing with his bloodlines, he was also a FINISHED CHAMPION in one registry! OK I was hooked! I looked at his girls and beautiful!

So I emailed the breeder and BEGGED her to see if she knew any transportation coming here, I couldnt afford shipping! Well she emailed me back and said she really wanted me to have a doe from her so she said she would work with me.

After all this.....I now am the PROUD owner of 2 lovely wattle does! These girls were flown in from Ohio last week and are doing great! They are 5 months old and are very dairy and colorful! One is a cute little chammy, and the other is a very flashy buckskin! They will most likely be bred this fall...

Well I thought the story would be nice! It was hard keeping it a secret, but in the end im SO grateful! If anyone would like this breeders contact info, let me know!

Thanks SOOOO MUCH Colleen, you have no idea how much this means to me
